Anonymous asked: The Mary Daly quote is misleading. There are many origins to the word sin. The Greek hamartia ("to miss the mark") is translated to 'sin' in the New testament and in Latin esse is a base for sont- meaning Guilty. So with that said "es" (being) would suggest Being Guilty.
